Information: The University of Leicester Residential Summer School gives Year 12 students the opportunity and information to make informed choices about whether university is the next step in their future pathways. The University of Leicester Residential Summer School is a great opportunity for you to experience what living and studying at university could be like for you.
Benefits of attending this event: You will get a chance to study and further enhance your skills for success at University. You will meet and get to know other students from across the country; as well as gaining insights into a subject you are interested in exploring.
Throughout the Summer School, you will live as a university student in our Halls of Residence. You will engage in thought-provoking, interactive workshops and social activities, designed to help you develop the essential skills required to be a successful university student in the future.

It may be possible to have reasonable travelling expenses reimbursed to attend an RO event/activity. You should check in advance with the university delivering the event to see if this is possible by contacting the Widening Participation Team at to find out what you need to do.
