Biochemistry and Biomedicine Summer School

Biochemistry - Explore the world of living organisms at a molecular level through sessions on protein structure, the principles of protein folding and protein separation techniques. You will take part in laboratory work, lectures and group tasks.

Biomedicine - Focus on the molecules and mechanisms fundamental to immunity and how these are disrupted by disease. Discover what is in blood and how our immune system works. Lab practicals will be on blood cell identification, HIV and leukaemia.

This residential programme will support you to develop skills needed for studying at a higher level and allow you to experience the top-level facilities and research here at Lancaster.
