Information: At the University of Leicester, we are Citizens of Change. One of the biggest challenges facing our planet right now is climate change, so for our post-16 summer school in 2020 the theme is simply that - "Climate Change". All of the sessions from the departments listed below will be based around climate change from their own academic perspective: Criminology & Law, English, Geography, History & American Studies, Maths, Modern Languages (Spanish), Natural Sciences, Nursing, Politics.*

You will get the real experience of living and studying at the University of Leicester, including three nights in our student accommodation. You will get the opportunity to not only engage in academic sessions but also social activities to give you a real taste of university life.

Our summer schools are entirely free to attend, which includes accommodation, food and transport.

At present, our post-16 summer schools in July 2020 are still scheduled to go ahead as planned. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully, and comply with government advice and University of Leicester guidance in all scenarios. As such these events are subject to change in the coming weeks as the situation progresses. We will keep you updated via our website and via email.


It may be possible to have reasonable travelling expenses reimbursed to attend an RO event/activity. You should check in advance with the university delivering the event to see if this is possible by contacting to find out what you need to do.
