Biological Sciences and Natural Science – Digital Taster day

Date: 17-Jun-2020

Time: The live event is 11-1pm but resources will be available to access throughout the day

Target year group: Year 12 and 13

Information: Planning to start university in 2021? Want to find out more about your subject of interest and future career options?

Normally we’d invite you to campus to find out all about the University and to experience what life is like as a student. Unfortunately we can’t do that right now, but we’ve developed a digital version of our Subject Taster days so you don’t miss out.

Learning at Leicester is progressive, thoughtful and research-driven. Our teaching is led by real-world experts covering many subjects and areas of study that influence change both nationally and globally. In the past our academics discovered DNA Fingerprinting, researched alternatives to antibiotics and found a king under a car park. Right now, they’re leading the fight against COVID-19 by conducting research into identifying and preventing the virus.

We’re forward looking and globally connected. We’re researchers, teachers and students. We’re agitators and instigators, diverse in our make-up and united in our ambition. We’re driven, determined and a force for good. While there is room for better, we will not stand idle. We’re citizens of the world and citizens of Leicester. We are citizens of change and we can’t wait to show you more.

Benefits of attending this event: Learn more about your subject of interest and the future career options open to you. You will also be able to engage with academics and our current students to find out more about life as a university student.
