SUMMARY:RO National Student Conference 2022
DESCRIPTION:At the start of the Realising Opportunities (RO) programme\, all of the students in Cohort 13 will attend the Virtual National Student Conference (NSC). Read the NSC guide here and view the event schedule here. RO students will join the event on Saturday 12 March via the NSC platform. \nThe NSC is an important event in the RO calendar that RO students from across the country attend. You will attend interactive sessions and will have the opportunity to talk to current students and staff from the RO Partner universities. You can read the student NSC Code of Conduct here. \nSuitable devices to use: If you can\, join the event via a laptop or PC\, as this will give you the best experience. Please use Google Chrome for the best experience. You can join via mobile devices using the mobile URL\, but the smaller screen size will give you a slightly different experience. \nYou will not be required to have your camera or microphone on at any time during the virtual NSC and all communication will take place via text-based chat. If you do wish to book a video meeting with one of the RO Partner universities a limited number of group video meeting appointments are available in the University Exhibition. You can watch the Welcome Video or the platform tour video to see more about the platform. \nAccessing the event: You should have received an email from noreply@online-event.co inviting you to set a password for your NSC platform account by 25 February. (Please note\, this is separate from your RO student hub account.) You will then use these login details to access the NSC on Saturday 12 March. DESCRIPTION:Location: Virtual (Zoom) \nEvent information: Careers Insight Week consists of eight live Q&A panels featuring University of Exeter graduates from a range of degree courses\, taking place every day at 18:00–19:30 (6pm–7.30pm) from Monday 28th to Thursday 31st March. (Two panels will be running at the same time on each of the four days). \nEach panel will have University of Exeter alumni from the listed degree subjects\, who have all gone on to various degrees and some very exciting careers. You will have the chance to hear them discuss their degree experiences and career journeys\, gaining tips and advice from them as professionals in their industries. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions to the panellists during the sessions! \nThis event is suitable for: Year 12 and Year 13 \nHow to book a place: You can book your place on the Careers Insight Week sessions here. The sessions will take place on Zoom\, and the Zoom link will be accessible on the day of the session via your booking ticket (which you’ll receive from booking via the link above). \nRecording your attendance on the RO student hub: In order for your participation to be counted\, you must email the Exeter RO team at realisingopportunities@exeter.ac.uk to confirm that you have taken part.
