Streetlaw sessions involve students delivering an engaging presentation on a specific area of law to a group of people to help them better understand the area of law\, things to be aware of and what their rights might be. This particular session will focus on the topic of Money Mules – a relevant topic as young people between the ages of 16 and 25 are specifically targeted for being used as a money mule. The session will cover what a Money Mule is and how to protect yourself from becoming one. In 2022\, YESS 1 will take place Tuesday 12 July – Friday 15 July\, and YESS 2 will take place Monday 1 August – Thursday 4 August. Both programmes are identical and applicants are encouraged to indicate their availability for each date. \nWhy YESS?: If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in one of England’s oldest cities\, and study at one of England’s leading universities\, then join us for this year’s York Experience Summer School. The University of York’s 4-day summer school will give you all of the information and experiences you’ll need to decide if York is the choice for you. \nThe York Experience Summer School aims to give you an immersive\, academic\, social\, and pastoral experience of York. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with college life and academic learning & research. You’ll also experience the support on offer at York\, and get to know students from the University of York and other YESS participants. Whoever you are and wherever you’re from\, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to York. \nFor summer 2022 we are returning to an on-campus residential\, which means that you’ll stay on campus for 3 nights in our private en-suite accommodation.
