Event information: Topic: Historical Geographies of Sugar, Tobacco and Slavery. Presenter: Dr James Kneale. This session will focus on historical geographies of sugar, tobacco and slavery with some interactive elements and discussion. We look at how this topic fits into the first year module ‘Space and Society’ and why we teach about globalisation before the twentieth century.
