Event Information:Head Start to Uni is a free event for year 13 students. It is your chance to visit Newcastle University, see our campus, talk to current students, and gain information and advice to prepare you for your journey into higher education, with a range of talks on offer, including, advice on writing a personal statement, guidance and medicine interviews, and information of student finance.

Realising Opportunities students can use the RO Travel Scheme bursary to claim the cost of one return journey to this event.
RO Travel Scheme: If you would like to access the RO Travel Scheme for support with your travel costs to attend this event, please contact Sam Mead at Newcastle University via email: realising.opportunities@ncl.ac.uk. For RO students we are able to fund your train travel to the event, please contact us at least 7 days prior to the event so we can purchase your train tickets.
If you want to save your RO Travel Scheme bursary for something else, you can claim a £10 reimbursement for any travel to this event from Newcastle University directly, by emailing visit.bursary.ncl.ac.uk
Recording your attendance on the RO student hub:Please email Newcastle RO team at realisingopportunities@ncl.ac.uk after the event to confirm your attendance and let us know you’d like to access the RO Travel Scheme. Please include your full name, the date, time and title of the event.
Please note that uploading attendance to the RO student hub after the event is a manual process so can take some time – please do not worry about this.
