Event Information:  Studying at university isn’t all about your degree programme – many Russell Group universities have places where business and academia work together. At the University of Leeds, this space is located in the Nexus building. Here, entrepreneurs and academics come together and use the very best research tools and techniques to solve real-life issues, and provide solutions that people want. Come along to this workshop and learn about what businesses in Nexus do, how you can work with them whilst at university, and how to increase your employability and enterprise skills. In the session, you’ll meet some entrepreneurs and hear from the experts about how you can develop your entrepreneurial and enterprise skills whilst at university. There will also be insight from employers as to what they look for when recruiting employees, how to make yourself stand out when applying for roles and how to build connections to help you in the world of employment as well as a short tour of NEXUS and what it has to offer business. Subject areas: All, but particularly suited to students who want to learn more about enterprise at university.
