Get Research Ready Part 1 – University of Leeds
University hosting: University of Leeds
Location: University of Leeds Campus
Event Information: The ability to think critically about sources you read is a key skill required by the vast majority of university students, regardless of your degree programme. Whether its assessing newspaper articles or scientific reports, thinking critically is a skill we will all need to harness in our studies, future jobs and in everyday life. But what does critical thinking mean and how do we do it? Our research expert Cara will dive into this topic in the first of our three-part interactive “Get Research Ready” series. During these events, you’ll build the skills and knowledge required to tackle large-scale research projects; from an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to a PhD thesis, these are the foundational skills to master. Suitable for: all – whether or not you’ll be undertaking an EPQ this year, these skills are useful for your future research journeys.
This event is suitable for: Year 12
