Event Information: This event will follow the case of a man who develops gangrene. This event is open to students interested in any subject as we will cover lots of different elements in this case. We will have sessions looking at gangrene itself, how it manifests and how it is treated, we will look at the Law around mental capacity, there will be a chance to interview our patient and some medical professionals around their care and much more. The day will culminate in a debate as to whether our patient has the mental capacity to make his own decisions of whether the hospital can impose care on him even if he doesn’t want it.
