Event Information: In this taster lecture, you will hear about the significant impacts of humans (not all, but many) on our planet over millennia. There will be a particular focus on the 20th and 21st centuries, when humans began to cause major changes in our planet’s climate, oceans, atmosphere and life. These changes are planet-wide, and resemble some of the huge changes that occurred in the geological past. You will also learn about how the Earth, Environmental and Geographical disciplines have a major role in trying to find solutions to these problems, and what some of those solutions could be.
