Event Information: In this taster lecture, Dr Matt Wilde will explore how global inequality and fossil fuel dependency resulted in a migration crisis in Venezuela. Tracing the accounts of people as they migrate across the Americas and eventually to the United States, he will discuss how human geography helps us to understand the connections between seismic global transformations and people’s remarkable individual stories.
