Event Information: In this taster lecture, we’ll find out about the human right of freedom of expression and how it can be restricted by laws and legitimate practices. You will find out about and be able to express your own views about how free we should be to offend other people, the place that freedom of expression plays in university life and the impact that expressing objectionable views can have on your future career and personal liberty. This is a topic considered in the first year of an LLB degree at Leicester. Human rights continue to be pervasive through topics considered in later years of an LLB.
