University: Lancaster University

Event information: LGBTQ+ representatives from Lancaster University and University of Cumbria are collaborating to host an open discussion to answer your questions in honour of LGBT history month.

The panel will be answering your anonymously submitted questions about:

 

University’s resources, policies and support for LGBTQ+ people and allies:

“Are there any policies for your trans/non-binary students?”

“Where can I go for support if I have a LGBTQ+ query?”

“Is there any training for staff relating to the LGBTQ+ community?”

LGBTQ+ community questions:

“I think I am ready to come out, any advice on coming out/needing to come out?”

“Can you share some of the current challenges in the LGBTQ+ community?”

“Where can I make fellow LGBTQ+ friends?”

 

Ally questions:

“How can I be a LGBTQ+ ally?”

“What are pronouns and why are they important?”

“There are so many LGBTQ+ identities, am I supposed to know all of them?”

 

Anonymous questions can be submitted live during event or beforehand by emailing lgbtstaffnetwork@lancaster.ac.uk.

 

This event is suitable for: Year 12 and Year 13
