Event Information: Positive psychology is the scientific study of human strengths and virtues. It uses psychological theory and scientific research to understand and improve human well-being. Within this session we will examine some of the psychological concepts that fall under the umbrella of positive psychology: positive emotions, personal strengths and virtues, gratitude, mindfulness, growth mindset and grit. We will also explore some of the criticisms of positive psychology.

This event is suitable for: Year 12

How to book a place: Email rops@leeds.ac.uk and if space is available we will confirm a place via email. Students must be taking part in the RO scheme and will be able to claim travel expenses for public transport on the day. Please keep all receipts and tickets as proof.
