Event Information:  This session will provide an overview of the history of museums within Britain, their links to the British Empire, colonialism and the slave trade. Through looking at example case studies, you will examine the debates that surround colonial objects within museum institutions. These spaces will be critically examined, with the overarching question, can museums confront and reckon with their colonial legacies?
