UCAS Preparation Day
University hosting: University of Exeter
Location: Online
Event Information: The UCAS Preparation Day is an event that we put on specifically for Exeter Scholars participants to provide you with information, guidance, and advice about the UCAS application process, student finance, personal statements, and to give you the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed, bespoke responses from staff and student ambassadors. The event will be run online via Zoom, and will comprise two separate sessions:
- 11:00 – 13:00 The Process of Applying to University, followed by subject breakout groups (with current student ambassadors)
- 13:30 – 15:30 Personal Statements, followed by Student Life at Exeter/Penryn – Live panel discussion with current student ambassadors and Q&A
We are running these as two separate events with a break in between – you can come to just one or both, depending on which topic you would like to find out more about, your availability, or anything else. However, please note that each session alone will be worth half an attendance credit; for a full attendance credit, you should attend both sessions either on the same day or on separately dates.
To register for a place on the day, please complete the registration form. Please complete and submit this form by no later than Friday 23rd August 2024 if you are looking to attend the August date. There is no limit on the number of places. We will send an email with the relevant Zoom information to those who have registered to attend on Monday 26th August. We will be recording the event and making it available online for anyone to re-watch or catch-up. However, we cannot award an attendance credit unless you attend live.
This event is suitable for: Year 12 and 13.
