UCL – Laws Taster Day

Event Information: The Laws Taster Day is designed for Year 12 students to gain an insight into UCL’s Law programmes and experience what it is like to be a Law student. UCL Laws is highly regarded for the quality of its teaching and student experience. If you are interested in studying Law at UCL and would like the opportunity to learn more from staff and students at UCL Laws, then apply to our Taster Day. Join us on the UCL campus for the Laws Taster Day to experience the following: Application guidance LNAT preparation Campus tour Q&A with current students By attending the Taster Day, you will gain valuable advice about applying to UCL and insight into life as a Law student at UCL.
This event is suitable for: Year 12.
How to book a place:
Deadline: Thursday 1 June
Eligibility: The Laws Taster Day is open to students who are currently in Year 12 and are studying at a state school or college in the UK. Applicants must be studying Level 3 qualifications accepted by the UCL Law programme to be eligible for the event. These include A levels, the IB Diploma, Welsh Baccalaureate and Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers.
Participants for this programme will be selected using the shortlisting criteria found on the ‘Who we work’ with webpage to prioritise young people from the least represented groups. You will be awarded points based on the number of criteria that you meet. Applicants with the highest numbers of points will be offered the places available on the programme.
Please note that students enrolled on the Target Law programme are not eligible.
RO Travel Scheme: If you would like to access the RO Travel Scheme for support with your travel costs to attend this event, please contact Vathani Mariampillai at UCL via email:srs.realisingopportunities@ucl.ac.uk. For RO students we are able to fund your train travel to the event, please contact us at least 7 days prior to the event so we can purchase your train tickets.
Recording your attendance on the RO student hub: Please email the UCL at srs.realisingopportunities@ucl.ac.uk after the event to confirm your attendance. Please include your full name, the date, time and title of the event and confirmation of attendance and event organisers details.
Please note that uploading attendance to the RO student hub after the event is a manual process so can take some time – please do not worry about this.
