Event Information: This is the first event within a 3-part series. Does Psychology always get the full story when it comes to human behaviour? Or does it overlook things that could change the fundamentals of our practice? In this session you will explore the underbelly of Psychology, discovering how culture, power and social context shape behaviour in ways that is often considered to be an afterthought. You’ll challenge familiar and famous studies, uncover hidden assumptions and rethink what we value as evidence. We’ll delve into how Critical Psychology opens up new ways of understanding people and society, giving you a fresh set of tools for thinking and debating as we draw ties between psychology, politics and sociology.
