Chemical Engineering Centenary Taster Lecture: Topic – Energy storage and Hydrogen

Location: UCL Chemical Engineering, Bloomsbury Campus

Event Information: As part of our department centenary celebrations we are holding a series of taster lectures for year 12 students who are interested in Chemical Engineering and related topics. The sessions will run from 4 PM – 5.30 PM and will include a tour of one of our world-class labs at either our Bloomsbury or Stratford Campuses. a) Taster Lecture: Energy Storage and Hydrogen In this lecture students will explore how a battery works, what makes a good battery and what happens when a battery goes wrong. They will also learn how hydrogen can be produced electro-chemically and in turn be used as a fuel for future electric vehicles.

This event is suitable for: Year 12.
